Have you seen the new skype print ads?
We are really strong in the areas where branding meets digital
“It’s so annoying my shift key isn’t pressing, I haven’t been able to write in capitals all day!”
Umm, Caps Lock?
Turns out I’m a massive n00b for not realising that shift does the same job, but requires one less key press than the outdated ‘Caps Lock’ button.
Just think, all that un-pressing could save you enough finger-clicks to play a game of robot unicorn attack, or some other thing that geeks do.
Here is a list of shortcuts that you may not have known about so check them out if you want to re-gain the precious milliseconds you’ve wasted by reading this blog.
Big Eye Deers had a great turnout with the first Think Digital event in November last year, so, to use a sporting cliché, we took the ball and ran with it.
The second Think Digital took place last Friday the 2nd of March at the KuKu club on Greyfriars road. As a Cardiff newcomer I haven’t yet had a chance to check out some of the nightlife hot-spots but the KuKu Club will definitely be on my list for it’s relaxed and cosy but professional atmosphere (think Sir Alan Sugar’s Moroccan Love Den, if he had one).
By demand, THINK DIGITAL is back and ready to hit 2012 with a bang. A huge thank you to all who attended our first event on 11th November 2011, your feedback has been gratefully received and our survey says:
THINK DIGITAL 2012 / Friday March 2nd 2012 3pm – 6pm. / Kuku Club, Cardiff, UK
We will be announcing full details on the next event very soon. In the meantime, please feel free to email info@thinkdigital-cardiff.co.uk with any questions, or pop over to @TDCardiff
Multifurnish Ltd. is an independent furniture company trading offline throughout the UK. The company’s existing site was built on CMS and appeared like an e-commerce site but without offering customers the functionality to purchase online. Having discussed with our client objectives for the Multifurnish website, it was clear that in the short term what was needed is a website which instantly demonstrates the key areas of service offered by Multifurnish, supported with a strong call to action.
This was achieved by carrying out a content review before coming up with a fresh design supported by a complete copywriting overhaul, ensuring that the website articulated the key services and company values of Multifurnish with precision. Our client also wanted to feature a selection of their products by means of an Offers page, this could be updated as necessary and would provide users an insight into the types of product available and the competitive prices offered. Multifurnish.co.uk was to display content that is current as well as manageable by the client.
Further to an offers page being created, Multifurnish Ltd discussed with Big Eye Deers the possibility of running a Groupon deal. Will blog re the national deal we ran for Multifurnish soon. It was a great success!
In order to improve Search Engine Optimisation, the new Multifurnish website has been crammed with keywords and phrases associated with the commercial furniture services; future marketing campaigns for Multifurnish Ltd will also involve very targeted Pay Per Click campaigns targeting both commercial and private clients.
We feel that the new Multifurnish website reflects the company well and gives Multifurnish an assured and professional presence online, which is vital in supporting our client for occasions of potential clients being directed to the URL or to new visitors who’ve found the website either through search engines or via promotional deals run on platforms such as Groupon.
A digital enterprise which enjoyed Wall Street petting, suddenly brandished as the skintest multi-billion generating company in existence, Groupon is almost celebrity with its turbulent media coverage featuring merchants going bust, Watchdog reports hitting The Mail, Business Insider running articles such as The truth about the world’s most controversial company, heaps of scepticism and damning reports about its ever-decreasing stock shares and countless forums pumped with complaints about misinformation and crafty small print. Horror and pandemonium aside, Groupon is still in business and the British public still seem bang up for a bargain. But for anyone considering setting up a deal for the first time with Groupon, I’d like to share some very honest, non-jargon advice/views based on my recent experiences of working with Groupon on behalf of a client.
On Friday 11th November 2011 we held our first digital event in Cardiff, THINK DIGITAL. Our aim was to collaborate with other digital professionals in Cardiff and put together a collection of presentations which would both (hopefully!) inform and inspire. Our target audience for the event was local businesses, from start-ups to medium sized companies, possibly with a web presence in place but with scope for improvement and room for ideas and inspiration.
